A Widerøe passenger plane, en route from Ålesund to Bergen, was forced to land with only one operational engine after pilots received an indication of a technical fault.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, prompting emergency services to prepare for the landing at Flesland Airport.
Despite the engine shutdown, the plane landed safely at 13:10, with no injuries reported among the 45 passengers and four crew members on board.
Widerøe's communications advisor, Catharina Solli, explained that the pilots followed standard procedure by shutting down the engine after receiving the fault indication.
It remains unclear whether the issue was a false alarm or a genuine malfunction, but the aircraft will undergo repairs before returning to service.
Among the passengers was humorist Viggo Venn, who described the experience as "a bit of a thrill" and noted the calm professionalism of the crew.
After landing, passengers were debriefed by the captain, who reassured them of the safety measures in place.
The incident, while unusual, is something pilots regularly train for in simulators, ensuring preparedness for such situations.
