Hadia Tajik, a prominent figure in Norway's Labour Party, is poised to secure a significant position on the party's Oslo list for the upcoming 2025 parliamentary elections.
The Oslo Labour Party's nomination committee has recommended Tajik for the second spot, a decision supported by a majority of eight members.
This nomination places her in a strong position to win a seat in the Storting, Norway's national legislature.
Tajik, who previously served as a deputy leader and minister, has shifted her political focus from Rogaland to Oslo, where she has resided for many years.
The decision comes after a competitive nomination process against Kamzy Gunaratnam, the current holder of the second spot.
The final decision will be made at the Oslo Labour Party's nomination meeting on November 26.
