A dramatic accident occurred on the E6 highway near Snåsa, Norway, when a truck veered off the road and ended up partially submerged in a lake.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Despite the challenging conditions, including darkness and poor visibility, rescuers managed to extract the driver, who was then airlifted to St.
Olavs Hospital.
The driver's condition remains unknown, but life-saving measures are underway.
The truck, a tanker with empty tanks, continues to float in the water as efforts to secure it are ongoing.
The E6 was temporarily closed to facilitate the rescue operation but has since reopened.
