A collision occurred between a Bergen light rail train and a camper van at Slettebakken on Thursday afternoon, causing the train to derail.
The incident happened around 12:55 PM when the camper van's driver, a 75-year-old German man, failed to notice the approaching train while attempting to park.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the two occupants of the camper van or the passengers on the train.
However, the camper van sustained significant damage.
Train services on Line 1 have been suspended between Wergeland and Nesttun, with alternative bus services being provided for travelers.
Authorities are investigating the incident and working to clear the scene.
