On Thursday afternoon, a tragic drowning incident occurred in Larvik, Norway, resulting in the death of a man in his late 70s.

The police received reports of a lifeless person in Numedalslågen around 2:00 PM, following a call from a fellow angler.

Local firefighters quickly arrived on the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but unfortunately, the man could not be revived.

Authorities confirmed that he was alone in his boat when he was found face down in the water.

Divers from the Larvik fire department searched the area for any additional victims but found no one else.

The police have stated that there is no indication of foul play, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
