A tragic incident unfolded in Bergen, Norway, as a 29-year-old man was found dead in Lille Lungegårdsvannet, a central city lake.

Emergency services were alerted by a passerby who noticed a body in the water around 12:54 PM.

Rescue divers from the fire department quickly retrieved the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased, identified as a resident of Askøy, was transported to Haukeland University Hospital for further examination.
