Icy Roads Threaten Southern Norway

Published: 2024-12-02

Southern Norway is bracing for hazardous driving conditions as a sudden weather shift is expected to bring icy roads.

After a start to the week marked by mild and wet weather, temperatures are set to plummet due to a northerly wind, leading to potentially dangerous icy conditions on Tuesday morning.

Meteorologist Rebecca Roggentin warns that the roads could become treacherously slippery, urging drivers to check road conditions and reduce speed accordingly.

The cold snap is expected to bring temperatures down to minus 5 degrees Celsius, but milder weather is anticipated by the weekend.

Motorists are advised to remain vigilant, as even seemingly dry roads could be deceptively icy.
