Helse Møre og Romsdal is grappling with significant challenges following the implementation of the new Helseplattforma journal system.
Despite being operational for six months, the system continues to experience numerous errors, causing frustration among staff and impacting patient care.
The health authority is also facing a financial crisis, with a deficit nearing half a billion kroner, necessitating cuts in services.
Health Minister Jan Christian Vestre, during his visit to Ålesund Hospital, acknowledged the system's shortcomings and the extended wait times for mental health services, which have increased to an average of 100 days.
While the minister listened to concerns, he could not promise additional funding beyond the current budget allocations.
The situation remains critical, with calls for urgent improvements to the system and financial support from the government.
