The Norwegian government has announced an additional 2 billion kroner in funding for hospitals across the country as part of an updated state budget.
This financial boost aims to enhance hospital operations and reduce patient wait times.
A significant portion, 200 million kroner, is allocated to improve the usability of the Helseplattformen, a controversial health records system.
Health Minister Jan Christian Vestre emphasized the importance of addressing user feedback and enhancing system efficiency.
The funding also includes 302 million kroner for Helse Vest, with 92 million specifically for Helse Stavanger, to support ongoing construction projects and reduce wait times.
This move is part of a broader effort to modernize healthcare infrastructure and ensure high-quality medical services in Norway.
