The Norwegian government has announced a significant increase in funding to boost employment, allocating an additional 690 million kroner in the proposed 2025 state budget.

This move aims to reduce reliance on welfare and increase workforce participation, as stated by Labour and Inclusion Minister Tonje Brenna.

The budget proposal includes a 6.3% increase in allocations for labor market initiatives, totaling 11.6 billion kroner.

Key allocations include 500 million kroner for employment initiatives, 30 million for a new youth program, 68 million for immigrant women's job opportunities, 17 million for youth support services, and 75 million for enhancing job-focused support at NAV offices.

This initiative reflects the government's commitment to improving employment rates and supporting diverse groups in entering the workforce.
