Ferry Troubles Spark Outrage

The Brattvåg-Dryna ferry route in Norway has faced severe disruptions, leaving local residents and businesses frustrated.

The main ferry, MF Haram, ran aground recently, and its replacement, MF Røsund, also broke down, forcing the use of a passenger boat that cannot carry vehicles.

This has caused significant challenges for the community, which relies on the ferry for daily transport and commerce.

Critics have pointed out the aging fleet, with the main ferry being 45 years old, as a major issue.

The regional transport committee has summoned operator Torghatten Nord for a meeting to demand solutions.

Local leaders warn that if improvements are not made, the operator's contract, set to last until 2028, could be at risk.

Torghatten Nord has apologized for the disruptions and pledged to address the problems, but tensions remain high.
