Bama Recalls Salads Over Listeria Concerns

Published: 2024-08-12

Bama, a major supplier of fresh produce in Norway, has issued a recall of 14 salad products due to the detection of listeria bacteria.

The affected products, which include various pasta and Caesar salads, were distributed nationwide across several major grocery chains such as Coop, Rema 1000, Kiwi, Meny, Spar, Joker, and Bunnpris.

These items, produced at Nordic Lunch's facility in Oslo, have expiration dates ranging from August 12 to August 19, 2024. Consumers are advised to discard or return the products to the store.

Listeria poses a significant health risk, particularly to pregnant women, newborns, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

Bama has alerted the grocery chains, and efforts are underway to remove the contaminated products from shelves.

Customers concerned about their health are encouraged to seek medical advice.
