A massive search operation is underway in Lyngen, Norway, after an avalanche swept three foreign tourists off their path.
While one person managed to escape and alert authorities, two remain missing.
The avalanche, which crossed a road and spilled into the fjord, has made rescue efforts extremely challenging due to high avalanche risk and severe weather conditions.
Helicopters, boats, and rescue teams, including the Coast Guard and volunteers, are scouring the area.
Advanced technology is being used to locate the missing individuals' mobile phones.
Authorities have issued a level 4 avalanche warning, indicating significant danger, as a polar low-pressure system brings strong winds and heavy snowfall to the region.
