In a remarkable archaeological discovery, a Viking farm and treasure have been unearthed in Årdal, Hjelmeland, Norway.

The find was made when farmer Tårn Sigve Schmidt planned to build a new tractor road and consulted archaeologists.

The excavation revealed a large Viking farm with several buildings and a hidden silver treasure, including four intricately decorated arm rings.

This discovery, led by archaeologist Volker Demuth, is considered one of the most significant in recent years, offering new insights into Viking life.

The silver, likely from foreign trade, was found undisturbed, providing a rare glimpse into the past.
