A Scottish man who disappeared in 2021 has been identified after his remains were found on the Norwegian island of Sula.
The 73-year-old went missing after setting out on a fishing trip from Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, on October 16, 2021. His boat was found earlier, but his fate remained unknown until March 9, 2025, when his remains were discovered on the Trøndelag coast.
DNA analysis confirmed his identity, bringing closure to his family.
Police have ruled out foul play, calling it a tragic accident.
Authorities hope the discovery provides some solace to the man’s loved ones.
