After four and a half years under suspicion, Tom Hagen has been officially cleared of involvement in the disappearance of his wife, Anne-Elisabeth Hagen.
The Norwegian police announced the case against him has been dropped due to insufficient evidence of any criminal activity.
Hagen had been accused of murder or complicity in the murder of his wife, who vanished in 2018. His lawyers have criticized the police for their handling of the investigation, accusing them of bias and media leaks that have damaged Hagen's reputation.
Despite the case against Hagen being closed, the police continue to investigate the disappearance, maintaining the belief that Anne-Elisabeth was a victim of a serious crime.
The case remains open, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
