Jens Stoltenberg has stepped down as co-chair of the Bilderberg Group to take on a new role in Norwegian politics.
Stoltenberg, who recently led the elite Bilderberg steering committee, has been appointed as Norway's finance minister under Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
The Bilderberg Group, known for its annual meetings of global leaders, confirmed his resignation due to this political appointment.
Stoltenberg expressed his surprise at returning to Norwegian politics, stating it was not part of his original plans.
This move comes as the Støre government transitions to being led solely by the Labour Party after the Senterpartiet's withdrawal.
