Snowstorms Sweep Across Norway

Norway is bracing for a return to winter as heavy snowfall and cold temperatures dominate the forecast.

In Nordland, areas like Mosjøen could see up to half a meter of snow by Saturday evening, according to meteorologists.

Meanwhile, the southern parts of the country, which recently enjoyed a brief taste of spring with record-breaking 16°C in Oslo, are now preparing for snow and sleet as a cold front moves in.

The west coast faces its own challenges, with a yellow warning issued for landslides and up to 40mm of rain expected in Florø.

In the north, freezing temperatures and snow showers are predicted, with Finnmark under a yellow alert for severe snowdrifts.

Meteorologists are urging caution for travelers as poor visibility and icy roads are expected.

Winter, it seems, is not ready to loosen its grip just yet.
