Norway is bracing for a significant weather event as meteorologists have issued yellow warnings for heavy snow and strong winds across several regions, particularly in Troms and Finnmark.

Starting from Friday, these areas are expected to receive between 30 to 60 centimeters of snow, accompanied by strong winds that could reach up to 30 meters per second.

This combination is likely to cause snowdrifts and reduced visibility, making driving conditions hazardous.

Authorities have already closed several roads and implemented convoy driving in affected areas.

In response, local municipalities are deploying all available resources to manage the snow accumulation and ensure public safety.

Residents are advised to secure their properties and stay updated on weather alerts as the storm progresses through the weekend.
