Oslo's T-bane system will face significant disruptions on Saturday, January 4, as Nationaltheatret and Majorstuen stations close for upgrades.

The closures are part of a larger project to modernize Majorstuen station and connect it to the Fornebubanen.

During the shutdown, buses will replace T-bane services between Majorstuen and Borgen, Frognerseteren, Nydalen, and Sognsvann.

Trams between Majorstuen and Oslo's city center will also run more frequently.

Ruter advises travelers to check their app for updates and suggests alternative outdoor destinations like Maridalen or Lillomarka for those planning weekend trips.

Normal T-bane operations will resume on Sunday.
