A significant fire at Nationaltheatret station in Oslo has caused extensive damage to the cable systems, leading to a complete halt in train services.
The fire, which broke out early Sunday morning, has resulted in signal failures affecting eleven train lines, including major routes like the Bergensbanen and Sørlandsbanen.
Bane Nor, the railway infrastructure company, is working on repairing the damage, but the complexity of the task means normal service cannot be guaranteed by Monday morning.
Alternative transport options, such as buses, are being arranged for affected routes.
Passengers are advised to check with their train operators for the latest updates.
A further update from Bane Nor is expected at 3 PM Sunday.
