Commuters in the Oslo area faced significant disruptions on August 15, 2024, due to a train blocking the tracks between Sandvika and Lysaker.
This incident affected 13 different train lines, including the Drammen and Asker lines, causing delays and cancellations.
Although the obstructing train has been removed, Bane Nor warns that travelers should still expect ongoing delays.
Additionally, a track fault between Frogner and Lillestrøm has further compounded the issues, impacting several lines such as the Dovrebanen and Gardermobanen.
Earlier in the month, a similar disruption occurred when a train with 160 passengers was stuck in the Lieråstunnelen due to a technical fault, highlighting ongoing challenges in the region's rail infrastructure.
