The launch, conducted by SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket, marks Norway's largest space project to date.
These satellites, owned by the state company Space Norway, aim to provide continuous broadband coverage to the Arctic region, enhancing communication for various operations including military and expeditions.
The project, valued at $450 million, is expected to significantly improve connectivity in the northern areas, benefiting both civilian and defense sectors.
Program Director Kjell-Ove Skare hailed the launch as a major milestone, emphasizing its importance for Arctic operations.
