The trial of two sisters from Bærum, Norway, accused of participating in the Islamic State (IS) in Syria, has been postponed to October 15 due to new evidence.
The sisters, who deny the charges, left for Syria 11 years ago and returned to Norway last year with three children.
Their defense attorney, Geir Lippestad, claims the new information could shed light on their reasons for leaving Norway, suggesting factors beyond radicalization.
The eldest sister is set for a new police interview, while the younger sister has declined further questioning.
The prosecution acknowledges the importance of the new evidence but maintains the charges.
