The trial of two sisters from Bærum, Norway, accused of participating in the Islamic State (IS), has commenced in Oslo.
The sisters, who left for Syria in 2013 at the ages of 16 and 19, claim they were coerced and controlled, denying any criminal intent.
They assert their journey was for humanitarian purposes, not to support IS.
The prosecution argues they were radicalized before their departure, aiming to aid IS's cause.
The sisters returned to Norway last year after a decade abroad, during which they faced significant hardships.
The court will determine if their actions in Syria were voluntary contributions to the terror group.
