Published: 2024-08-22

In the early hours of Thursday, a fire broke out in a single-family home in Lørenskog, Akershus, resulting in one person being hospitalized with burn injuries.

The injured individual, who lived in the house, was taken to Ahus hospital, though the extent of their injuries remains unknown.

According to police operations leader Finn Håvard Brække Aas, evidence at the scene suggests the fire may have been deliberately set, possibly by throwing a burning object through a window.

At the time of the incident, nine people were inside the residence.

The police are actively seeking information from the public to aid their investigation, as no suspects have been identified yet.

The fire was reported at 02:57 and was quickly extinguished.
