Early Sunday morning, a lightning strike hit five homes in Haugesund, Norway, causing significant material damage but fortunately no injuries.
Residents were jolted awake by a loud crash, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly.
The initial report came from a single-family home experiencing severe damage and smoke development.
Police later confirmed that four additional homes were affected, with one house suffering major structural damage, including a damaged chimney, a hole in the wall, and shattered windows.
The other homes experienced minor issues such as scorched wiring and power outages.
Fire services quickly brought the situation under control, ensuring the safety of all residents involved.
