In Kvinnherad, a motorhome was blown several meters by the wind and caught fire, though fortunately, no one was inside, and the fire was quickly extinguished without further damage.
The Meteorological Institute has issued warnings of hurricane-force winds, with gusts expected to reach up to 43 meters per second in areas north of Sognefjorden, including Sunnmøre.
