In Arendal, Norway, Tonje Marie and Bjørn Håkon Helgesen are spreading holiday cheer by inviting people who are alone to celebrate Christmas at their home.
The couple, passionate about the festive season, has decorated their house and prepared traditional dishes like ribbe and pinnekjøtt.
They’ve even arranged gifts for their guests.
Their initiative, shared on a public Facebook group, has already received positive responses, including one man who has since become a friend.
The Helgesens encourage others to open their homes to those in need of company during the holidays.
Malin Wickman of the Red Cross in Agder praises their efforts, emphasizing the importance of reaching out to the lonely, especially during Christmas.
