Alternative Christmas, a longstanding tradition in Oslo, has secured a venue at Sentralen after facing uncertainty.
For 55 years, this event has provided a festive celebration for those who might otherwise be alone during the holidays, including the homeless and individuals struggling with addiction.
Initially, the organizers faced challenges in securing a location, with applications to Oslo's City Hall being declined due to practical concerns.
However, Sentralen has stepped in to offer its space, ensuring the event can continue.
Henning Holstad, the event's leader, expressed optimism that this year's celebration could be the best yet, with preparations underway to welcome around 2,500 guests.
The community's support has been overwhelming, highlighting the event's importance in bringing joy and companionship to those in need during the festive season.
