On Monday morning, police cordoned off the area at Lindekollen near Gaustad Hospital in Oslo, where activists have been protesting against the felling of a 150-year-old beech forest.
For eight weeks, these activists have camped in the area to prevent the tree removal, which is part of a project to build a new Rikshospital.
So far, seven protesters have been removed and will face legal action, while one individual has climbed high into a tree, refusing to come down.
Trine Nickelsen from the Nature Conservation Association expressed her frustration, stating that the mood among the activists is tense.
Despite their efforts, health authorities maintain that all necessary permits for the tree removal are in place, citing the project as part of a state regulatory plan.
The activists have filed a temporary injunction in court to halt the work, but the situation remains unresolved.
