A man in his 70s tragically lost his life in an ATV accident in a forested area of Arendal on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted around 2:38 PM, and the incident was initially reported as serious.

Shortly after their arrival, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the ATV had overturned in rugged terrain.

The victim had reportedly been hunting earlier in the day.

A concerned family member discovered him near the vehicle after he failed to return.

Authorities have notified the next of kin and are investigating the accident.
