Northern Norway is grappling with severe weather conditions, leading to significant disruptions across the region.
Troms and Finnmark have experienced record-breaking temperatures, reaching up to 16.9 degrees Celsius, which, combined with heavy rainfall and snowmelt, has resulted in widespread flooding.
The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate has issued a yellow flood warning for Nordland, Troms, and parts of Finnmark, cautioning residents about potential local flooding and erosion damage.
In Tromsø, the situation is dire, with several schools closed, roads blocked, and residents evacuated from flooded areas.
The extreme weather has also led to the closure of Tromsø Airport and the cancellation of numerous flights.
Authorities are urging caution, advising people to avoid travel and stay informed about the evolving weather conditions.
