A recycling truck caught fire in an industrial area in Tananger, Sola municipality, on Friday afternoon, prompting emergency services to establish a 300-meter safety perimeter.
The fire, which began around 16:00, led to significant smoke development and initial fears of an explosion.
Although the explosion risk has been mitigated, authorities continue to advise the public to avoid the area due to ongoing smoke concerns.
Traffic to the site has been halted, and residents are urged to keep windows closed to prevent smoke inhalation.
