An 18-year-old Norwegian man tragically lost his life in a skiing accident in Åre, Sweden, on Saturday.
The young man, a resident of Trøndelag, was skiing outside the designated ski area when the accident occurred.
Swedish authorities confirmed the incident and stated that mountain rescue teams were involved in the operation.
Despite being transported to the hospital, his injuries proved fatal.
This marks the second fatal skiing accident in Åre within a week, following the death of a Swedish man in his 60s.
Åre is a popular skiing destination for Norwegians, particularly those from Trøndelag.
