Norway's intelligence agencies have issued a stark warning about potential Russian sabotage in 2025. The annual threat assessments from the Norwegian Intelligence Service, Police Security Service (PST), and National Security Authority highlight the likelihood of attacks targeting critical infrastructure and weapon supplies to Ukraine.
Russia is reportedly recruiting criminals for these operations, raising concerns about unintended consequences.
The agencies emphasize that Norway's support for Ukraine has made it a target, with energy facilities and public opinion being key objectives.
While no incidents have occurred yet, officials urge vigilance and immediate action to safeguard national security.
The reports also shed light on Russia's economic struggles and its use of misinformation to mask the impact of Western sanctions.
