Massive Fire Destroys Lier Row House

A devastating fire broke out in a row house in Lier on Tuesday evening, leaving all four apartments completely engulfed in flames.

Emergency services quickly evacuated all residents, including an elderly couple in their 80s, ensuring no injuries were reported.

The fire, which started around 9:12 PM, was brought under control by 10:17 PM.

While the cause of the fire remains unclear, the affected families have been relocated to a nearby hotel in Drammen.

Lier’s mayor, Kjetil Kivle, expressed relief that everyone was safe but called the incident a tragic way to end the year.

Authorities have confirmed there is no risk of the fire spreading to other buildings.
