A massive fire engulfed a 50-foot cabin cruiser at Strandkaien in Bergen on Tuesday morning, sending thick black smoke over the city.

Emergency services worked tirelessly to control the blaze, which posed challenges due to 3,000 liters of diesel on board.

The boat, valued at 11.9 million kroner, was completely destroyed.

Two individuals who initially moved the boat away from the quay to prevent further damage were treated for smoke inhalation.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

Traffic disruptions occurred as the quay was closed, but normal flow resumed later in the day.

Residents were advised to keep windows shut due to the heavy smoke.
