Southern Norway is bracing for significant rainfall, with meteorologists issuing an orange alert for parts of the region.
The forecast predicts up to 80mm of rain over 24 hours, with the heaviest downpours expected from Tuesday evening into Wednesday.
This weather shift follows a period of unseasonably warm temperatures, bringing concerns of potential flooding and landslides.
Residents are advised to prepare for possible disruptions, including poor driving conditions and local flooding.
Authorities have also warned against swimming in affected areas due to increased levels of bacteria in the water following the heavy rains.
