An elderly woman tragically lost her life in a house fire in Nesodden, Akershus, on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services received reports of heavy smoke and visible flames around 4:15 PM.

Despite the efforts of two bystanders who attempted to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived, the woman could not be saved.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities are currently unable to investigate the scene due to the ongoing heat.

Firefighters managed to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes.
