Police in Eastern Norway are investigating a series of thefts targeting elderly residents.

The perpetrators pose as plumbers checking for fake water leaks or as sellers of artwork to gain access to homes.

Once inside, they steal valuables.

Incidents have been reported across Østlandet, including Telemark, Vestfold, and Buskerud, with similar cases in Agder and Western Norway.

Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant, avoid letting strangers into their homes, and report suspicious activity.

Police are also seeking tips and surveillance footage to identify the culprits.
