Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway has arrived in Paris to attend the Olympic Games, following a delay due to personal family matters.
Initially, her travel plans were postponed after her son, Marius Borg Høiby, was charged with bodily harm in Oslo.
Despite the family situation, Crown Princess Mette-Marit joined Crown Prince Haakon in Paris on Friday, where they are set to support Norwegian athletes.
The royal couple's presence is seen as a morale boost for the competitors, with Crown Prince Haakon already attending several events.
The Crown Princess's arrival was confirmed by the Norwegian Palace, marking her first appearance at the games this week.
The couple plans to stay in Paris until August 10, attending various Olympic events.
