The Bergen Christmas Market was forced to close early on Thursday due to strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 23 m/s.

The decision, made for safety reasons, was confirmed by market representatives who emphasized that safety always comes first.

Despite the temporary closure, the market is set to reopen on Friday and continue its festive activities as planned.

The market, located at Festplassen in Bergen, runs from November 22 to December 22. Weather warnings have been issued across Norway, including risks of snow avalanches in regions like Voss, Hardanger, and Sunnmøre.
