Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj visited Norway amidst ongoing efforts to secure a ceasefire in the war with Russia.
During his meetings with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Zelenskyj expressed gratitude for Norway’s increased support, which has risen to 85 billion kroner.
Both leaders emphasized the need for a ceasefire without conditions, though Zelenskyj criticized Russia for adding demands to negotiations.
Zelenskyj also highlighted the importance of security guarantees from Europe and the U.
S. as Ukraine navigates diplomatic challenges.
The visit comes ahead of critical talks in Saudi Arabia involving Ukraine, the U.
S., and Russia.
Zelenskyj’s presence in Oslo was met with public support, as he thanked Norway for its solidarity and aid.
