This morning, two separate chain collisions on the E18 highway towards Oslo caused significant traffic delays.
A total of eight vehicles were involved in the incidents, which occurred minutes apart at Kjellstad in Lier and the Brakerøya on-ramp.
Police report that the accidents were likely due to negligent driving, as no adverse road conditions were noted.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, although one person experienced minor discomfort and received medical attention.
The collisions led to long queues on the E18, affecting other routes in the Drammen area.
Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes as traffic normalization is expected to take some time.
