A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of Eastern Norway, with strong gusts expected from Friday afternoon.

The Meteorological Institute forecasts wind speeds of 18-22 meters per second, particularly affecting the outer Oslofjord coast.

The storm, named "Lillian" by British meteorologists, is moving from the UK to Denmark and is expected to impact Norway by Friday afternoon.

Residents are advised to secure loose objects, as the winds could cause trees to fall and disrupt power supplies.

The police in Oslo have also urged people to ensure scaffolding is properly secured.

The winds are expected to shift southwest and decrease by late Friday evening.
