A potential strike involving 120 members of Fagforbundet at their Oslo headquarters has been averted following successful negotiations.
The dispute, which also involved 266 members from Handel og Kontor (HK) and Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund, was resolved after talks extended three hours past the deadline.
The agreement aligns with the framework of the frontfag, Norway's leading wage negotiation model.
The negotiations were particularly significant as they involved Arbeiderbevegelsens Arbeidsgiverforening (AAF), the employer association of the labor movement itself.
The resolution prevents a strike that would have started Thursday morning, ensuring continued operations at Fagforbundet's main office.
