Ullensvang municipality has declared a state of emergency, with local authorities scrambling to arrange alternative transport despite challenging conditions.
Thousands of residents are also without power, adding to the crisis.
Police have warned of extreme weather and high landslide risks, urging people to avoid travel in affected areas.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.
