A powerful polar low-pressure system has brought chaos to Northern Norway, with Troms and Nordland experiencing severe snowstorms.

Over 40 roads were closed, and many vehicles were stranded as snowdrifts and poor visibility made driving nearly impossible.

Authorities have urged residents to stay indoors and avoid travel, as even snowplows struggled to clear the roads.
