A serious traffic accident occurred on the E16 in Nes municipality, involving a van and a truck.

Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, where one person was critically injured and another seriously hurt.

Both individuals were trapped in their vehicles but remained conscious.

They have since been extracted and transported to Ullevål Hospital for treatment.

The road is currently closed in both directions as the accident investigation team is en route.

Air ambulance services were also dispatched to assist in the emergency response.
